Eureka is an annual event that showcases research and creative activities by currently enrolled undergraduate students in collaboration with a University of Tennessee, Knoxville or UTIA faculty mentor. Entries can be individual or group projects and are judged by a panel of UT faculty members and industry partners.
For my Eureka project, I partnered with Dr. Karen Boyd who serves as an Associate Professor of Practice and Director of Undergraduate Education in the Educational Leadership and Policy Studies Department at the University of Tennessee. Her hope was for students in my design class to make educational material for her students that takes them through a user experience. My interactive quiz not only achieved that goal, but also aims to better educate the general public about treating others equal as well. For my next steps, I hope to enter this project into Student Undergraduate Research and expand on my ideas along the way.
