Won Juror's choice for best book design in 72nd Annual UTK Student Art Competition/Exhibition (2019)
For this semester long project in typography class, we were given the task of creating our own book. I decided to do mine on one of my favorite things, Dungeons and Dragons. This project really taught me the importance of having many rough drafts before going into the final stages of creating the end product. In my first iterations, I made most of the book from digital drawings. Being a D&D book, it just didn't feel right. I wanted it to have a very "homemade" feel to it, so I started from scratch and painted many of the illustrations, as well as cutting up paper and scanning it in like a scrapbook. I'm very happy with the end result.
